How to setup your cross promotion rules

Modified on Wed, 29 May at 4:30 PM

This article will show you how to use Frooition's popular Dynamic Cross Selling tool. Check out this Frooition page to read more about Cross Selling on eBay - https://www.frooition.com/ebay-cross-selling.html

The Frooition Cross Promotion feature will allow you to market items that relate to the item being viewed by your eBay customer.

An example of this is when a client is viewing a pair of walking boots, you could set up the Cross Promotion Rules to display thermal socks.

Step 1

To get to the Cross Promotions Rules page, select Settings in the left-hand menu, and click Cross Promo Rules. Alternatively, click here if you are logged into your Frooition account: https://freedom.frooition.com/ebaytools/cross-promotions/

Step 2

Before creating new cross-promotion rules, you can choose if you wish to use eBay Categories or your personalised eBay Store Categories. Select Edit at the top of the page.

The following pop-up will appear allowing you to choose which categories you would like to select based on what's available in your eBay account.

Step 3

Once you have selected which eBay categories you wish you use, you can then click Create New Rule.

This is the pop-up that will appear, you will need to select the store category for items you want to promote and the category of the item the buyer will be viewing for these promotions to display.

Once you have selected the correct categories, you can click Add Rule.

Step 4

If you wish to delete any of the cross-promotion rules you have created, select them via the tick boxes on the left and you will see a Delete Rule option pop up. Click it and select Yes to confirm the removal of the selected promotion rules.

Step 5

The Settings button (as seen next to the Delete Rules button above) will open up a menu that will give you the option to toggle if you would like to only cross-promote items of the same currency. This option is useful if you sell items with multiple currencies on the same eBay account. You can toggle the button On or OFF, just be sure to click Save.

If you have followed all of these steps, you will be able to control your cross-selling on eBay using the Frooition software.
