Overview
Frooition templates are built to be responsive, meaning they adapt to different screen sizes. However, some elements display differently on mobile compared to desktop. This article explains the most common causes and what to do about them.
Banner or header not resizing correctly
Banners designed at a fixed width can appear cropped or overflow on smaller screens. Frooition's templates include responsive rules that adjust banner height and spacing automatically, but some custom banner images may need specific dimensions to work correctly across all devices.
If your banner looks wrong on mobile, raise a support ticket with a screenshot and the Frooition team can adjust the responsive CSS for your template.
Logo appearing at the bottom on mobile
Some templates place a secondary logo or footer element that is only visible on mobile. If you see an unexpected logo at the bottom of your listings on a phone, it is likely a footer element in the mobile template that needs to be hidden or updated.
Large white space or misaligned sections
This is usually caused by a fixed-height element (such as a banner or promotional image) that does not scale down on mobile. The fix is to add a max-width or height constraint in the template CSS.
What to do
- Take a screenshot of the issue on your phone and note the device type (iPhone, Android, etc.).
- Raise a support ticket with the screenshot and your eBay store URL.
- The team will investigate and push a CSS fix to your template, then confirm when it is resolved.
Designing images for mobile and desktop
If you are creating your own banner or slider images, use the following as a starting guide:
- Full-width banner: 1200px wide, 200–300px tall
- Slider background image: use your existing background as a reference (right-click and open image in browser to see dimensions)
- Overlay images on sliders: maximum 600px wide x 400px tall, designed as landscape
Images designed in Canva or similar tools should be exported at 96 DPI for web. If you are unsure of the right size for your specific template, raise a ticket and the team will confirm.
