If you are using a 3rd party listing tool, data feeds or multi-channel inventory tools to feed inventory into eBay, the Frooition software allows you to export the master template to work directly with your inventory feed into eBay.

This option will then apply your eBay listing template as part of your inventory upload into eBay.

  • Click ‘Create New’.

  • Select Tag Based Template from the listing method options,

  • Select your listing tool from the dropdown list (If your listing tool is not in the list, select Other),

  • Choose the eBay site that you list to from the drop-down list,

  • Give your profile a name (such as MIP template),

  • Click the Next button.

  • On this page, you will need to add any Macro tags that your listings will use. We have a log of the macro tags for the different tools on file and these will populate depending upon the listing tool option you have selected from Stage 1.

  • To view the image/video macro tags, click the ‘Add images from your own hosting’ and the following pop up will appear for you to check/edit the macro tags:

  • (NB If you have any additional macro tags that you wish to use in your template, you can add these into the Item Description area).

  • Once happy the macro data tags are correct, click ‘Next’.

  • This will then take you onto Stage 3:

  • Where you can preview the eBay listing template with the macro data tags in place.

  • Once happy with the template and macro data tags click ‘Get Code’.

  • A pop-up will then display ready for you to copy the template code into your listing tool or to download a .txt file of the HTML template code.

  • Simply copy and paste the code into your listing tools template editor, or upload the downloaded file (which may need saving as a .HTML file depending upon your listing tool) and set the template as the default template code to work with your feed into eBay.
  • IMPORTANT: If you are using our legacy templates powered by Froo Apps (https://apps.froo.com/) before implementing the new 2023 Universal eBay Listing template please contact rescue@froo.com with your eBay username so they can deactivate your Froo Apps account to avoid any conflict.

  • NB: The old legacy templates powered by Froo Apps, and Froo Apps as a service, are being discontinued in Q1 2023.
