Add Video using Frooition Media Hosting

Modified on Wed, 29 May at 1:47 PM

Frooition Media Hosting offers up to 3TB of hosting space to fill with Image and Video files which you can then use within your Frooition template.

Check out our quick guide below.

(Note: All image & video files must have unique titles. If you upload a duplicate, it will replace the original file)

Step 1:

Navigate to Media Hosting in the left-hand menu.

Step 2:

You have the option to add a watermark to your video. It is set to eBay as default so you will need to remove it if you did not wish to have the eBay watermark present, or update it to what you require. You can do this by selecting Settings in the top right corner of this page https://freedom.frooition.com/hosting/.

You can then change the Video Watermark Text and select Update.

Step 3:

You can now proceed to upload your video file. Select Upload from the ACTIONS menu and select the video file you wish to upload. The following video formats are accepted: avi, mov, mpg, mpeg, wmv, flv, webm, mkv, mp4, 3gp.

Please note, an active Media Hosting subscription is required to store image or video files within the Frooition software.

Step 4:

The file uploader will allow you to navigate your local drives to find the required file you wish to use. When you have located and selected the file you require, click Confirm Upload from within the pop-up.

The file size will determine how long the upload process will take, this is not a long process and you can see the progress by the green bar that will fill up as the file gets uploaded.

Step 5:

Once this pop-up has disappeared you will see a 'Transcoding' status. This means that your video is being prepared for use, as the message says, it doesn't take long. You'll need to refresh the page to check the status of transcoding.

Step 6:

This is the finished view when all of these steps have been completed.

Step 7:

If you wish to organise your files into folders, select New Folder at the top of the page https://freedom.frooition.com/hosting/

You will then see a pop-up allowing you to enter the new folder name. Once you have done this, click Create.

Step 8:

You will now see the new folder in the list. From here you can select the files you wish to move by ticking them and selecting Move in the ACTIONS menu. You can also choose to Select All or Delete the selected items.

You will have the option to select the location you wish to move the files to by clicking the dropdown menu. Once selected, click the Move button.

You have now moved your items to the new folder!
